Ling Leng
Ms. Ling Leng was Born in Changchun, China. Growing up in a music family, Ling started to play the piano at the age of three and gave her first solo recital at the age of ten in her native country of China. She graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music as a Piano Performance Major with high distinction in both academics and performance. Her early teachers included Manli Cai, Hengfang Zhao and Anhong Guan. She also holds a Master of Music in Piano performance and education at the Beijing Normally University under renowned professors Ming Sun Zhou and Hua Zhen Xie from the Central Conservatory of China. Coming to U.S. in 2005, She earned her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Boston Conservatory where she was a scholarship student of Dr. Jonathan Bass. While at the Conservatory, she won the Chamber Music Honors Competition and the Piano Honors Competition in 2007. Ms. Ling is a staff pianist of New England Conservatory, Boston conservatory and is currently in her fourth year of Doctoral of Musical Arts Program in Collaborative Piano at Boston University, studying with Ms. Shiela Kibbe.
Ayako Yoda
Ms. Ayako Yoda began playing the piano at the age of nine in her native Japan. She has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician not only in the United States, but also Japan, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany. She has collaborated on various recitals with Kenneth Olsen, assistant principal cello of the Chicago Symphony, John Ferrillo, principal oboist of Boston Symphony, and principal players from the Montreal, Toronto, and Detroit Symphony Orchestras in the New England area. As a composer, Ms. Yoda was the grand prize winner of the PTNA Composition Competition in Tokyo, Japan. She holds awards from the New England Conservatory Honors Piano Competition and numerous awards from the YAMAHA Keyboard Competition allowing her to perform respectively at Jordan Hall and Tokyo’s most prestigious Suntory Hall. Ms. Yoda received a Bachelors of Music in Composition from the Kunitachi College of Music in Japan, a Masters of Music in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory, studying with Jacob Maxin and an Artist Diploma from the Boston University College for the Arts where she studied with Anthony di Bonaventura and Shiela Kibbe.
